Our amazing Book Week 2016 culminated in our Bookworm of the Week Assembly on Friday, 12th February. All the children looked stunning in their hats – hats made to emphasise the theme of their book. In Year 6, children’s sunsets (with black silhouette animals) of South Africa were a stuning reminder of the beauty of South Africa, while also reminding us of the “ugliness” of apartheid and discrimination. In Years 1 and 2, the hats reminded us to look after our world more closely … or lose it!
Well done everyone. A fantastic Book Week.
